Free Amazon samples edition. Just in time for lunch!
Protein powder huh... If this is what comes from tech companies storing my data, I’m all for it.
So, how does it taste?
Bad. Very bad. Imagine taking a bar of unsweetened chocolate, microwaving it JUST enough for it to get soft, covering the bar in table salt and then putting said bar in a blender, mixed with pond water.
At first taste it’s just like any other subpar chocolate protein powder. Nothing special, but drinkable. That aftertaste though... Ughhh. It lingers on the tongue. Bitter and salty, remaining long after the *flavor* is gone. Still not the worst I’ve had, but I’m giving it a 2/10.
As a self-proclaimed lava cake aficionado, I was hoping for more :/
(edit) oh and if you haven’t stepped up to the metal blender bottles yet.... What are you doing? These ones don’t crack, they don’t smell like ass after a few weeks of use, the cap doesn’t pop off with temperature changes, and they’re great for mixing cocktails in a pinch lol

Honestly, given your lifestyle, sometimes I think we should call you AsceticInMotion.

Trader Joe’s has a pretty good frozen chocolate lava cake that you can heat in less than a minute in your typical microwave.
Reading your other comments, I suspect you’re aware of them.

I made the mistake of listening to a mattress salesperson years ago and my back still hates me, but I can’t just chuck a mattress that expensive. I wanted like a berth on a Klingon vessel and ended up with something pretty soft. My wife hates it, too, along with the one she bought for a mere 1/4 as much as mine where she made the exact same mistake that I did with the salespeople.
Why do people like beds that give you a sinking feeling and back pain ?
Mine isn’t the worst I’ve slept on, c ertainly better than hers and we both agree on that, but it’s not good . The cheap open cell foam ones that I grew up with are far worse, so I shouldn’t complain at all.

I bought a new mattress about a year ago. I got upsold into something a little more expensive than I wanted, but not too bad. I think it is called a “hybrid” or similar, it has a cooling gel top part, but the rest is conventional. It is quite firm, but the gel top adds a little plushness. I hated it at first, but now am quite fond of it, if I ever get aches, it is because I overdid it that day, not from the mattress. I also splurged on an adjustable base, which seemed goofy at the time, but now I use it frequently.

You can send me that Hudson Bay blanket, though. I was in Jackson Hole, Wyoming last year and there was a
beautiful
Pendleton blanket in one of the gift shops, likely overpriced, but if I’d had the $300 they were asking, I’d have paid it and not given it a thought. Might’ve tried to talk them down a bit because off season...
